Hexagons or loops: which is better?

It depends on how you run. Loop-based apps (KYRO, Motera, Territory Run) reward big circuits: the larger the loop, the more area you claim, but an out-and-back run claims little. Hexagon-based apps (Wibto, RunStrict) count every cell your route passes through, so short runs, straight lines and track sessions near home still capture territory. Hexagons also make the map easy to read — each cell has exactly one owner.
